Innovation and optimism: the industry shows its strength at IFFA 2025

The atmosphere at the stands of over 1,000 exhibitors at IFFA – Technology for Meat and Alternative Proteins was characterised by a high investment confidence. In a complex global economic situation, the industry impressively demonstrated its innovative strength and competitiveness. This was also confirmed by the visitor numbers: a total of 63,117 trade visitors from 144 countries came to the leading international trade fair in Frankfurt. The proportion from abroad was 74 percent.

Messe Frankfurt and DECHEMA team up for new ACHEMA Middle East

DECHEMA, which organises the ACHEMA, the leading trade show for the global process industry, launches ACHEMA Middle East in Saudi Arabia together with Messe Frankfurt. DECHEMA and Messe Frankfurt have reached the necessary agreements and the event will be held for the first time in Riyadh in 2026, and then every three years after that. ACHEMA Middle East is supported by the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This is against the backdrop of Saudi Vision 2030, the ambitious government programme for economic and social development.

Digitalisation and sustainability in the building and construction industry – ISH 2025 leads the way

In the face of climate change and rising environmental expectations, the sustainable use of water, heat and air is becoming an urgent priority. The twin transformation – uniting digitalisation and sustainability – is accelerating progress across the industry. ISH 2025 made clear just how determined the sector is to drive this change: never before have so many innovations been on show – from next-generation heating and air-conditioning systems to intelligent water management solutions. Some 163,157 visitors from 150 countries took part in the world’s leading trade fair to explore the latest advancements and connect with key players shaping the market.

Marketplace, Business Engine, Optimism Driver: Increase in Visitor Numbers at Frankfurt’s Mega Fair

Despite a challenging market environment, the global consumer goods industry is proving to be resilient and full of energy. With 4,660 exhibitors and around 148,000 visitors , the trio Ambiente, Christmasworld, and Creativeworld has once again cemented its position as the leading platform for consumer goods. Over 170 nations were represented at the fully booked Frankfurt exhibition grounds. The high level of participation and international reach once again highlight: The industry is evolving, but Frankfurt remains its central meeting point.

Order joy instead of buyers blues: Nordstil Winter inspires the industry

Eight halls full with optimism, inspiration and new ideas for the retail sector – that was Nordstil Winter, which took place in Hamburg from 11 to 13 January 2025. More than 750 exhibitors from 23 countries presented their new products for the finer things in life to around 14,000 visitors [1]. With this result, the first consumer goods trade fair in Germany of the year achieved an increase in visitors. The conclusion of the Nordstil community: the mood in the retail sector is better than the experts' forecasts had suggested, and retailers were keen to place orders.
